The Challenge:

Windfall Cider looked to expand its capacity through an outdoor activation space for their patrons. They Cidery sought to create an inviting atmosphere that resonated with the area's shipping container aesthetic without compromising functionality or comfort. Personifying the industrial ambiance of North Vancouver's waterfront port was the key design component of the project.

Our Solution:

Located discreetly along 1st Street, Hawkers “Box Parklet” stands proudly in front of Windfall Cider. The Box Parklet functions as a dynamic extension of Windfall Cider's warm taproom, inviting patrons to savour their Premium Ciders amidst the bustling energy of the street.

The upcycled shipping container was repurposed into a vibrant temporary patio space, seamlessly blending into the industrial landscape. The patio's temporary nature highlights the adaptability and versatility needed by Windfall Cider to maximize seating during events, tourist season and warmer months.
