The Challenge:  Prince Rupert set out to redefine the tourism experience of the city by creating an urban magnet for tourism. Hawkers worked with Prince Rupert and stakeholders to design and build a container market to support the growth of small business owners in Prince Rupert. This market is designed to serve as a placemaking attraction, targeting visitors who arrive on Cow Bay Road via cruise ships.

Our Solution: Hawkers worked with Prince Rupert Port Authority to plan, design and build bespoke vendor kiosks along Cow Bay Road. Hawkers commitment to this project resulted in the five custom kiosks built. Each offering unique vendor merchandising opportunities. Additionally, Hawkers designed a custom Box Parklet, a versatile space that serves as a covered patio and a kiosk with custom benches.

We're excited to announce that the market will reopen for the next season in Spring 2024, promising even more exciting experiences and business ventures.
